Tobias Philipp

Open Access Strategy Coordinator / Swiss National Science Foundation

Tobias Philipp coordinates the SNSF’s Open Access strategy and implementation since 2017. He is a member of the Science Europe working group on Open Science and several national expert groups discussing Open Access in Switzerland. His academic background is in the sociology of science. As a Scientific Officer in the Strategy Division, he also manages the development of the SNSF’s Model of Excellence, the SNSF’s International Advisory Board and is involved in various efforts to increase the understanding of the “value of research”.
