Laura Bandura-Morgan

Affiliation Senior Open Science Officer / The National Science Centre

Laura is a Masters and PhD graduate of the Department of Biology and Earth Sciences at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She awarded her doctorate of Molecular Biology in 2003, and right after continued her doctoral internship at the University of Louisville, KY in the United States. After completing the internship she worked at the Institute for Cellular Therapeutics and the James G. Brown Cancer Center in Louisville for several years. She has participated in several research projects and published several scientific papers. Since September 2013 for 2 years she held the position of Discipline Coordinator for Life Sciences in the National Science Centre.
Currently, she is Senior Open Science Officer in this agency. From 2017 for two years she was involved in work of Science Europe Working Group on Research Data and initiated the implementation of new Data Management Form to the grant proposal aligned with the Practical Guide to the International Alignment of Research Data management. Currently, besides her involvement in cOAlitions S – Expert group, she is a member of SE Working Groups on: Open Access to Research Publications and Data Sharing and Supporting Infrastructure and coordinates the work on implementation of Open Access Policy in the National Science Centre.
